¹ Inverter Technology is a key attribute of LG’s room air conditioners (RAC). It is used in conjunction with a variable-speed compressor and adjusts the compressor motor speed to regulate temperature. This is more energy efficient than non-inverter technology RACs, which turns the compressor either on or off to regulate temperature. The LG LW0824IVSM inverter RAC model showed up to a 35% Combined Energy Efficiency Ratio (CEER) positive difference when compared with the DOE Minimum Requirement of 10.9 CEER for a RAC without reverse cycle, with louvered sides, and with a certified cooling capacity of 8,500 BTU/h (May 2024).
